One of 12 Zodiac prints in the Constellation series which is the final part of a larger “Landscape” series. The Zodiac series ended a creative period which ran from 1963 through 1973 in which his works experimented with mythology, old, modern and nonsense. This particular print shows another aspect of that period - that being an area left unprinted between different parts of the image. Many elements are used here to represent water including a Greek vase drawing and a reference to Hokusai in the waves. | ||||

Fine condition. Minor ink residue in the margins. Small identification label on the rear bottom containing the title in Japanese and the artist’s name. Deckle edge left. Not matted or mounted. | ||||
