This is one on Sugiyama’s larger images giving us a detailed scene of winter preparation in the rice field of a traditional Japanese farm. Note the details of the water canal, the burning of plant residue, the thatched buildings in the background and the nice shading of the evening sky. | ||||
Condition: |
Fine condition. Minor printing ink spots and slight soft handling creases on the margins. Deckle right side. The image size given includes the slight beyond-the-edge image runout that is a characteristic of this artist's work. Not matted or mounted. The paper color may have a grayish cast on your monitor, it is quite white. | ||||
