Other Notes:
The image based on the first miracle of Christ from the Christian gospel of John, Chapter 2, verses 1-12 where, at the request of his mother, he changed water into wine. The wedding guests and Christ fill the top tier and the wine servants fill the lower tier.
Condition:
Very good condition as follows: Faint adhesive residue at the back sheet corners. Typical creasing in the hand crumpled paper. There are several small perforations and abrasions on the print: A thin 3/8” long vertical perf in the foot area between the two figures on the left of Christ, with a slight paper abrasion (see photo detail); a 3/8” oblique perf in the lower robe of the figure to the left of Christ; some surface rubs in a small area near the arms between the figure of Christ and the figure to the left (see photo detail). The print will be shipped, un-mounted, secured in an archival protective mat.
