Description:
#30 from an edition of 500, printed on medium weight white wove paper. Signed “K Nishijima” lower right and titled lower center, numbered lower left, all in pencil. Red “Shima” seal in the image at lower left.

Other Notes:
From a series of town views, showing the steep roofed traditional houses in Shirakawa. They are called “Gassho-zukuri” - praying hand style - houses. The entire village is registered as a World Heritage Site. The town is located at the foot of Mt. Hakusan in northwest Gifu.    
Condition:
Fine condition other than two thin areas in the rear upper margin from where previous folio tabs were, not affecting the front view at all. Margins slightly wavy with handling crease on bottom edge. Not matted or mounted.
