Description:
 Published by Yoshida Studios. Oban tate-e. Un-stated edition size. The scene is at Diatokuji Temple. One of a set of 7 “white-line” garden prints, so called because Toshi used a white line around objects instead of his usual dark line. Red Yoshida seal in lower right, pencil signature at lower right margin, pencil titled on lower left margin. Block date on left margin of 1963 and the title.

"These prints incorporate Toshi’s abstract ideas from his oils and his abstract prints. Colors are bold and when combined with a quiet subject we have an appealing print balanced between naturalism and abstraction with flat strong color areas replacing natural objects."
