Description:
Fired earthenware with pewter lid. Interesting and outstanding example of an old hand decorated jug.

Other Notes:
We do not know the origin of this jug or know the mark. It is possible it is United States from Pennsylvania but that is conjecture.    
Condition:
lid a little wobbly, 2” separation on lid between rim and central section (see photo E), several small chips inside of rim (last photo), flakes on base collar, old tight hairline on rim (last photo).
