Zúñiga Catalogue # 268, a proof print, #A, before the colors. Printed at Kyron Press, Mexico City. Published by Brewster Editions, New York, Brewster #36. The edition was 80 prints in 3 colors of blue, sienna and black, plus 20 numbered in Roman Numerals. State II has 15 prints gray subbed for blue. There were 15 artist’s proofs, 4 Kyron proofs, 1 printer’s proof and one cancellation proof. Stone lithograph. Signed and dated lower right, and inscribed “E/A” lower left, all in pencil. Very good condition. Mounted with two hidden tape hinges, new 100% rag mats, crease marks at the lower right and left sheet corners. Two tack holes at left and right edges. Three printing creases in the image area, 2 unobtrusive and hidden in the image, one in the upper area from the sky down to below the horizon line between the visible faces of the two women. Not very obtrusive, but it is there. Shipped flat. | ||||
