Arches paper. 30 proofs of various types. State II was printed in gray and black only, 9 prints. Stone lithograph. Signed, dated and inscribed “1/135”, all in pencil at lower right. This is one of the last stone lithographs Zúñiga made at Kryon before going to Poligrafa in Barcelona where he worked with mylar masters. This large scale work makes use of the large hand roller the pressmen called “El Gordo”. With that roller Zúñiga was able to obtain the background mid-tone veil that is evident on his late Kryon large lithos. | ||||
