Mr. Limin is a member of the Chinese Artists' Association, the Chinese Printmakers' Association. He currently lives in Hangzhou and is a teacher and vice-director of the printmaking department of the Chinese National Academy of Fine Art, from which he graduated in 1999 with a post-graduate degree. His early works won awards at exhibitions in Zhejiang province and after 2002, at national exhibitions. His works are key representations of current abstract art in China. In 2007 his work was accepted at the 18th National Chinese Printmaking Exhibition, held in Shanghai. 2400 artists had submitted works and only 215 were admitted. His print received an "Outstanding" award, one of 36 given. Most recently his work was accepted in the "First Yunnan International Print Exhibition" which opened in September 2008 in Kunming City, the capitol of Yunnan Province. Only 179 works were accepted out of 1,879 submitted by 1,013 artists from 45 nations. |
