Warren Sheppard

d. 1937 Greenwich, NY

Warren Sheppard's record of exhibitions begins in 1874 at the Brooklyn Arts Association, numerous times at the National Academy, and at the 1884 Denver Expo and the 1904 St. Louis Expo. He is known as a marine painter. He was an expert sailor, traveling along the East Coast extensively; a designer of racing yachts and at one point won the New York to Bermuda race.
